Before you begin
Your administrator has set up the queries you need in SQL Maintenance. If you can't find a query, ask your administrator.
You have the security level that the query requires. If you don't, the query won't appear in your list.
Run a query
Open Query Search from the main menu on the left.
Select the case type. CaseMatters shows the queries for that case type and opens the first one.
Select the query you want from the list.
Enter any values the query asks for. Your entries appear at the top of the screen.
Select Search to run the query. If you change a value after that, the results update automatically. If you change the query, select Search again.
Review the results in the table.
đ Note: The table shows the columns your administrator has set for that query. Query Search shows results in table view only.
đ¤ Tip: To include closed cases, turn on the closed cases toggle. It's off by default, and CaseMatters remembers your choice the next time you open Query Search.
Export results
Select all results, or select the individual records you want.
Select the export option.
Open the CSV file. The first line shows the query name, followed by the table results.
â ď¸ Important: CaseMatters loads results in batches. To export a large set, select Load more until every row appears, then export.
Open a case from the results
Select the case button to open the case. The case opens in the same view.
When you return to the query list, your values stay filled in, but the results don't. Select Search to run the query again.
For administrators: set up queries
Set up queries in SQL Maintenance. For each query, you can:
Set the columns that appear in the results.
Set the security level that can see the query.
Set the sort order for the results.
â ď¸ Warning: Users can only see a query if they have the security level you set. Check the level before you tell users to run the query.
